This is BIGGSZ24,I ran out of posts, lol.Question is my friend has a '96 GA Sedan,I think it has the 4 speed 4T65e trans. Were trying to find out if it's possible to hook up my Shiftplus that I had on the Cav to the GA.It has a pink or red, black, tan w/black stripe, yellow w/black stripe and a green wire.Any ideas?

I know they had a model for the GA but they discontinued it,I believe your correct, and I know the old shiftplus
install thread had pics of the install on a 2.2 cav.My cav's trans. harness has way more wires than the GA's and we just don't know which wires will work.

don't do it, I had it on my truck and it burnt up the tranny in less than a month. B&M wouldn't do squat to cover it either, they said I had been towing more than the recommended weight for my vehicle...I towed a 4x8 trailer 6 blocks one time with the shiftplus on. will never recommend it to anyone. buy a real shift kit.

Ok number one,I had this on my cav and it worked great and flawlessly, buy a "real" shift kit you say? What, for a econobox that is currently not even seeing 150whp?The only two things that I would have added to the 4T40e trans would have been an LSD and a stall convertor. The fact that the Shift+ wasn't even designed for the cav. and someone figured it out is a good thing. You should have known better than to use the Shift+ on a truck, there are WAY more and WAY better trans. tuning products for trucks these days

On a side note,I tried hooking the shift+ up to the two wires with the black stripes and even switching them around and it worked but not correctly.Shifting was firmer but it was causing the trans to slip out of gear.

I know I should not have put it on a truck...now lol. At the time I was an E-3 in the Air Force...kinda broke and I did what I could so cut me a break there. Honestly, I wouldn't even mess with modding an automatic, just my opinion so don't flame, I think if I'm going to mod a car, it's got to have a 5 spd. I know a lot of people love their automatics and there's nothing wrong with that, I personally will never own another one, unless it's a Duramax, but that's a story for another forum.

Anyway, those of you who are planning on getting a Shift+, I hope it works out for ya. It probably will being as it's for a car and not a truck but after that whole experience, I wouldn't do it again.

Well, nevermind the shift+ for the 96 GA has to be the vacuum actuated one,so oh well
