TTR Solid 4t40E mount

I just recently ordered my TTR Solid mount and I was wondering if anyone has the install instructions? I'm pretty sure you get them whenever it arrives I'd just like to see what it takes to install ahead of time.

Thank you.

jack car up and put on jack stands , then put the jack with a 2x4under the trans pan closest to the drivers side of the pan

remove drivers front tire , remove intake , disconnect battery ,remove if you feel you need the extra room

tools needed are 13mm and 15mm sockets , i used all 3/8" drive ,extension(long) and a swivel , also a 7mm 1/4" drive , and a long prybar to help with the twisting on the install , tq wrench , or impactwhich ever you are comfortable with

in pic 359 , you will see the inner plastic shield you need to replace, the fender liner can stay , there is 4-5 7mm bolts you need toremove , and a push in pin , there is 2-3 clips that hold the wiresfor the abs , you will need to undo , then remove the panel , pictures362 and 363

now you will have access to the frame bolts(4 13mm bolts) and the 2lower trans bolts(15mm bolts) , make sure trans is still supported ,then remove the 2 15mm bolts(will be VERY TIGHT) , pics 366 and 367 ,then remove 2 of the 13mm bolts , pics 364 and 365 , just loosen upthe other 2 13mm bolts

now to move up top , this is where the intake will need to be removed, to access the other 2 15mm trans bolts(will be VERY TIGHT) , shownin pics 360 , 361 , pic 369 kind shows how little room you have , andwhy the battery being out will help , also shows how hidden the boltsare

once the all the 15mm bolts are out then remove the final 2 13mm bolts, hold the mount when removing the last bolt out , then wiggle anddrop it out the bottom

then wiggle and twist the new turbo tech mount into place , now youcan 2 it 2 ways , bolt the mount to the trans first , or the framefirst , which ever is easier for you , i did it both ways , i thinkthe trans is easier , which ever you choose , put all 4 bolts inleaving them loose , but screwed in almost all the way

some moving and twisting might be needed , as well as going up anddown with the trans , once you get 1 hole lined up , the rest will bea little easier , once all are in tighten all the 13mm bolts , and the2 at the top on the trans side

the 2 other lower 15mm bolts you will need to use a short socket andswivel , to tighten them up

only tq spec i could find was 41 ft lbs , for the 13mm bolts , i knowthe 15mm bolts have a higher tq spec

reinstall the inner liner , make sure to leave enough slack for theabs wires at the control arm , reinstall the tire , battery and intake, and lower car off the jack stands

after a couple hundred miles , go over all the bolts again and makesure they are still tight

I got mine from a local guy so I didnt get any instructions but I guess ttr sends them with it. I got this writeup from a member on here, if you need pics I can contact him and see if he can get some for ya. Its realy simple, just a pita to slide the mount up in. Mine was a real bastard since my tranny moved shifted soo much when I unbolted the mount.

Thanks for the write up !

How tight is tight is what I want to know. It must be capable of being done if others on this forum have done it.

I just have one question,

in pic 359 , you will see the inner plastic shield you need to replace

..

did you mean remove instead of replace. I take replace as buy a new inner plastic shield.

Also, did you notice much vibrations after this install or isnt it that bad. Did you notice any gains performance wise with how the car shifts or pulls, etc?

How tight are the bolts compared to the bolts that are on the upper engine mount?

^^ You didn't ask for the instructions Mike.
But I know they're in the closet with my other stuff somewhere.

I did order another mount, price was too nice.

Sorry guys, dont check the transmission section much. The mount is a good mod, definitely smooths the shifts out if you have an auto shift kit or hpt. The vibes arent realy any worse but my idle is raised a bit. Ill talk to the guy I got the writeup from to see if he wouldnt mind posting up the pics
