installing clutch/trans

Okay guys after 3 months of letting this car rot in my driveway I finally got to work on it. I have the trans out and sitting in the tire and I pulled the clutch housing and disc off. The disc looks a bit roughed up but not bad and the clutch was doing well before the slave gave way, my question is how stupid would I be for not pulling the flywheel and having it turned before I put this all back together. It looks to have a few heat marks but I've een alot worse, there is no cracks at all in it.
Should I go buy a clutch disc to instal in my Exedy kit since I've heard Exedy uses cheap neon disc instaed of factory replacements? It should fit the the new clutch housing.
Also I'm probably going to need help in a couple days putting this thing back in so be prepared tooamswer some dumb questions.
Thanks,
Jim
