I searched this subject, and found nothing.

So I'm just gonna ask...

What are your opinions of a lightened flywheel?
(Ecotec engine.)

I was asking more performance wise, instead of brand wise.

I've got a Fidanza on my 01 2200 and a spec 3 clutch and I love it, shifts fine, and i like the faster climb of the revs......their were issues with the flywheels cracking but I've had no issues on this car...

Last weekend I put an aluminum Spec flywheel and stage 2 clutch in my 04 LSS and have only put maybe 100 miles on it total. I wanted one for the eco since the 2200 responded so well to the aluminum flywheel I figured the eco could benefit of less rotational mass. Plus once I get around to installing my M62 charger I'll really enjoy the lighter flywheel since less rotational mass will help put more hp to the ground since it's not being used to spin a heavy flywheel.

I'd say go for it but others will say otherwise. checkout ecotecforums.com as well and you should find more info on what your looking for.
