Im new here so take it easy if any of this sounds stupid. The tranny in my 99 Z24 finally gave out on me the other day. me and a couple buddies went to a local junk yard and found 5-speeds in an early 90s Grand Prix GTP with a 3.4 quad cam and an old Beretta GT with the 2.8. Ive read that these are the same transmissions but are geared slightly different.

My question is of course will these transmissions bolt up to my 2.4 without issues, and if so does anybody know the difference in gearing and if will help/hurt me.

Also, I read somewhere that the W41 had a higher final drive than all the other Getrags. I think the stock final drive in the Z24 is like 3.63 but Im probably wrong (happens alot) and I was wondering if there is a way to change the final drive by swapping in the W41 differential or something.

Any help would be awesome.
