so ive noticed when i'm in reverse and i rev up and slowly engage the clutch, theres a point near the friction point where i hear and feel a humming/vibration.. this happens 95 % of the time i am in reverse... if i drop the clutch or push it all the way in, it'll go away, but near the friction point it makes noise... i've also noticed on occasion that it'll do it going in to first and second... but that happens like 2% of the time... and again at the friction point...
any ideas??? F23 + Spec Stage 3 6 puck + RK Sport aluminum flywheel
SO it happens as your putting it in gear near the friction point?
FU Tuning
well i already have it in a gear... it happens as i let off the clutch near the friction point... if i feather it, it won't (or just barely) happens
and it mostly happens in reverse...
My SPEC 3 did it with an aluminum flywheel and still does it some with a stock flywheel. Between the chatter and inconsistent engagement that clutch makes it look like I dont know how to drive a stick.
so its normal for the clutch and isn't wearing wrong or anything
yeah i'm wondering about the inconsistent engagement... ive noticed that sometimes it takes less rev and sometimes it takes more rev to get it to smoothly go in to gear... but i think this do to my computer F*cking off with the IAC... cause sometimes when i rev it the car wants to take it up to 3 grand before it backs down (And this is after i let off the pedal), other times it'll go to 1500 RPM like its supposed to and instantly drop to idle... or if going in to gear, down to 700 RPM before recovering... othertimes its totally normal.. rev to 1500, smooth in to first and go...
My clutch engagement issue can be felt dirrectly through the pedal. Sometimes its soft and other times its firm. It has been like that since day one with this clutch. If I had the funds I would be ripping it out and installing a LuK ASAP.
so my issue might just be that the computer is randomly adjusting the IAC... the pedal feels about the same, and generally has the same friction point... i just don't know how the car is going to react after i eclipse the point..

my spec stage 2 does the exact same thing both humming chatter and annoying enguagement issues. And it gets worse with mileage too.
i had 3 stage threes, and they all exploded on me... my advice is stay the bloody hell away from spec, and if you already got one, you'll be dealing with all the weird little characteristics of them already; chatter, inconsistent engagement, funny noises now and then, premature failure lol
