ok first off its a 98 z24 manual ok what its doing is if i havent driven the car for a little bit or overnight whatever it will shift into first and second fine but going to third is hard its like the shifter is stuck than shifting to fourth is fine but than 5th is hard so basically it dosnt want to go laft and right but up and down is good what could this be?

sounds like the shifter cables. they have been known to stretch.

once i drive it for a few miles tho it shifts normally tho and im not having trouble finding the gear its getting to it like i said moving it left and right is hard

^^ it just happened to new cables was the cure

so where can i find some cables i been calling around and nobdy can get some

plus if it is the cables y does it only do it when i first start driving and not the whole time
