What are the pros and cons of the swap? I hate that in fifth gear doin 70 I'm at 3k.rpms. anyone have had both trannys?

The way you said it, I'm not sure if you think the RPM is too high or too low.
I've done the swap of Geo Storm Gsi guts and now have the 4.117 Final Drive and close ratios.
It works great, but at 70 I'm at 3200rpm. Lost some mpg, but it definitely accelerates better.

I always kind of seen fifth gear as the cruising gear. Not so much a power gear. I guess its just me.
I had the isuzu and swapped to the getrag, not much of a rpm difference in 5th gear.

Put in an NVG - it's at 3300 rpm at 60 mph. Total blowfest. lol
