Has anyone tried this tire on the J-body? I'm looking for the best possible summer tire for aggressive street use. So far this seems like #1. Opinions please.

from what i've heard, the pilot sports are one of the best, and a lot of factory cars like porsche, corvette, viper, etc, use them.
also take a gander at bridgestone pole position S-03's, those are pretty nice too.

Yeah the PS2 are top-tier tires. Your gonna have to pay for them though

...ive CONSISTENTLY seen them at the number 1 spot of EVERY...SINGLE...TIRE TEST. But my God, they are expensive, even for me, and I dont mind paying to play, lol. like, 200 bucks for a 16 inch tire. I run a set of pirelli pzero neros, and got em for about 100 bucks a tire for 16inchers. they stick real well...

I'm thinking of getting some 18" PS2s... about $250 each on Tire Rack. I'm trying to do as much research as I can before I make the decision. If anyone has tried em on a -body please let me know what you think!

....mmm, j-body or not, I am sure they are great tires, on any car. I know sometimes it depends on your driving style (i.e. drag, road, drift, etc.) and drivetrain (fwd, awd, rwd), but seems like I have seen these tires as the number one rank of every type of tese (cornering, braking, wet tract, dry tract, etc..). Im sure they'd be excellent on a j-body, but honestly, I think they might be overkill...you can find some cheaper tires to perform just as well with the amount of hp/g's you'll put out. go with some bfgoodrich kd's, or pirelli pzeros, or falken azenis rt615s. you wont be disappointed, and you can use the extra 400 bucks youll save on another mod.
