Im looking at all the options for what i can get. Its a daily driver, and i dont race or drag it. I need something that will handle well in the rain. Ive been looking at both 215/40/18 and 225/40/18. Only ones l seem to like are the Kuhmo's 712's and the Dunlop SP Sport FM90. I dont want to spend then more than like 120 a tire. What do you guys perfer the 215's or the 225's?
how is the profile with 225s? i am hunting around for tires for my 18s too. i want my wheels to be protected but i want a good low pro

i have 225 now on my 18s and i think i should of went w/ the 215. there is plenty of rubber to protect the rims
215/40s or 45s

I hate my cum ho's..... side wall is too soft for my liking.
I have 225 40 18s and have hit some huge pot holes etc, even when tire was bit low on air and never done any damage to rim.. using @!#$ty nexen tires 2 haha. Only thing i regret is not going wider.. i originally had 245 40s and my rims are 8" wide and the 225s dont protect the "face" of the rim at all. Think my next set of tires will be 245 35 18s, i wish i had gone for them over the 225 40s.
will a 245 on a 18x8 even fit in a cav...this is news to me

I have [B}Wanli tires on my car and have gone over 30k miles since November on them. They still look awesome and still ride very well. I got mine with a tire/rim package deal on www.wheelguyz.com. But They were advertising them in the new issue Sport Compact Car at $75 a tire i believe. I highly recommend them!
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!

215/40 here.. I've hit several potholes and never done any damage. My car is a daily driver and the tires are wonderful in the rain!
