Just who the F*ck designed these cheap@ss stock nuts?? Granted, my 'Fire is over 9 years old, and the nuts've been spinning around for over 175,000 miles, but still!! Just had to spend $50+ to have the shop remove a rounded nut. The flimsy tin (?) 'shell' slipped off and the wrench all but ate the corners of the true nut underneath. Put on a set of aftermarket SOLID nuts. I'm willing to entertain suggestions on how to dispose of the stock nuts. I'm looking for some vengeance.
9 years old? give me an f'n break.

And you wonder why we all have aftermarket lockin' lugs on the cars to keep people from stillin' the wheels? I have the locks even on my winter wheels cause they look so much better, and they are cheap lookin' plastic. Shop shouldn't of made you pay cause they messed it up. Just my .02, and BTW I work at a GM dealer.
quit whining
take them to a junk yard , and go break some windows
@!#$, I've had poor luck with my aftermarket locking lug Keys but never any problems with my stockers....
have your tires ever been rotated? or mabye you had the WRONG sized socket.
maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....... but some day
Lessee; got no problem with the nuts, it's that dang-blasted 'shell' they attatch over it to fill out the nut size. In northern states with road salt, freezing / frying temperature ranges, them shells don't stand a chance. Also, I rotate my own tires and have spun those nuts on and off for about 95% of thier life. Probably was me what spun them on last time. I've always used the same (correct) size on the spanner wrench--marked it with a wrap of electrical tape! I got my locking lug set from the dealer to protect from wheel theft. I have the alloy rims on, and would rather avoid replacing them if at all possible.
