How do you guys think 7 spoked Chrome 16" Wheels would go on a silver Cav?
I'm tossing around ideas.

to me? ridiciously small and pointless. especially if you arent lowered, it will look even worse

I'd toss that idea right out the window! Chrome just doesn't do it for me personaly sorry. But if you really want chrome wheels at least go with 17's or its not worth getting them.

Also, and please don't take this the wrong way, you need to lower it BEFORE you do the rims. A lowered car rocking steelies looks 100x better then a stock 4x4 height car with high doller wheels. It just does not look right!

Heres the order that seems to work best.
1. Lower the car. You can still run stock wheels and look good lowered.
2. Wheels. Without a drop they do not look right.
3. Body kit. Or aftermarket body parts like hoods need to be done last or the car just doesn't look right.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

i was thinking of putting 16's on, not chrome though. they just don't look right on a cav. and i wasn't planning on lowering it. mainly cause i don't have the $$$. i didn't think it would look all that bad, seeing how the LS's have 'em stock. then again, i could be wrong and it may look like crap. in which case i'll get a second job if i have to, save up all i can and drop it.

Wow man, that's dedication if you're willing to get a second job just to drop your car. I'd shake your hand if you were here.

lowering it is the last thing i'll do to it. right now i just want it looking good, cause i'm sad to say i may end up selling it. key word.."may". thinking of getting a cobalt. supercharged of course but i like my J. so, not sure what i'll do yet. oh btw, the 16's i'm thinking of getting will be off a chrysler cirrus. the bolt pattern is the same from what i saw. just need to find out what the offset is. they're aluminum with a gold color ouline. will get 'em redone with a gun metal finish. i'll see if i can find any pics of 'em.

If you go chrome you've got to go BIG....... IMO 18s in chrome don't even look right but some 19s and 20s have been pulled off nicely.
I've got chrome 19s on my dub and freaking love them. They were prevoisly on a JBO member's car and looked sick on his red 4-door as well.

For 16" wheels I wouldn't go over 5 spoke. 7 spoke and up wheels have got to be 17" or bigger, and on a Cav it's got to lowered or it makes it look even more like a 4 x 4.

If you plan on getting a second job I'd lower on the steelies first and save up for the rims.

I was thinking about lowering my ride, but I know people that said it's bumpy as hell. I live out in the boonies and the roads arn't exactly great. I'm still torn between looking nice or riding nice, my car is a daily driver.

Check out Tein's H-Tech springs. They only lower an 1" to 1.1" and the spring rates are very close to stock.
