I have OEM Goodyear Conquest 195/70 R15 tires on my 2002 Cavy Sedan Bare Bone stock. I bought the vehicle new in sept. 01 and now only have 36,000 miles on these tires. there is some really minor craking on the edges of the tread pattern. They sqeak sometimes while conering even at slow speeds on dry pavment.
I'm starting to look at replacements. And I am looking at eiteher the Goodyear TripleTreads or the ComforTreads.
Speed and Performance is not an issues as this is a low mileage comuter car. Comfort, Quiet, and superior all-weather traction are what are desired.
Thanks for any input you all can provide.

only thing i can tell you is look up each company and look at the tire rating for each model of tire. it should tell you all that stuff like tread wear, noise, comfort, etc...
I have the ComforTreads on my car and in my opinion, they are an excellent all-around tire and very quiet (for sneaking up on people). The TripleTreads are excellent tires as well, but they are directional tires designed for superior traction on wet roads. One reason I opted for the ComforTreads is that they are not directional and can be rotated side to side, not just front to back as required by directional tires. Plus the fact that I don't drive much in wet conditions anyhow. But if you drive a lot on wet roads, the TripleTreads would probably be a better choice.
Edit: Just so you are aware before you start researching prices, your tires, if stock, should be 195/70/R14 instead of 195/70/R15.

Thanks! You are right, I had a typo they are 14"
Time to start saving my money. I may order whatever i decide from Walmart as they have lots of locations to get something fixed if there is a problem with their Road Hazard Warrenty.

I put Tripletreds on my g/f's 05 Accord LXSE coupe. Great tire. Great in the winter. Pricey though. There might be cheaper or better choices.
In that size I don't think you can get Triple Treads... ComforTreads are the top of the line ride you can buy in that size hands down. I have Triple Treads on my stock wheels (205/55R16) and they are phenomenal. The ComforTreads are amazing. I work for Goodyear and those are the most popular tires we sell -- the assurance line. Also they are guarenteed by Goodyear for 80,000 miles. Just make sure you don't get Goodyears from Sears, Walmart, or Costco -- they aren't technically Goodyear tires. They are Sears tires that use goodyear molds and buy the rights to use the names. They also do it with Michelin.

Is there documentation or something that backs up your claim? I know that Goodyear makes a few diffrent styles exclusivley for Walmart. But Walmart is a Authorized Dealer of Goodyear tires. Several have to be special ordered and are not stocked at store locations.
