Ok, its gettn cold up in michigan and the snows falln (well and metling) but neways. I just took my rims off. (the front and left the rear on) I was wondering if this was going to be a problem. I have the stock 195/65/15s on the front, and my 225/40/18s on the back. Is this alright? or should i switch the rear also?
hey i would change the back rims too if they are chrome but if you are just worried about the size it will be fine how it is
actually no it wont, its not good to stagger wheel sizes on our cars. why only take the fronts off?

holly shinkies!!! for once me and bagged agree! this is a rare occasion indeed.
it is a very bad idea to stagger wheel sizes on a car that didnt come equipped like that from the factory, especially when the vehicle is AWD/4WD or has 4 wheel ABS.
change them all or none at all

well i did it because my old back tires have no tread so thats why im leavn the rims on the back, and well it seems to be driving alright.....i just dont see wats wrong with it?
then keep it that way. not my car. if you dont want answers then dont ask questions
no its not that, i just want to no wat could really go wrong...
It should be fine, the back wheels just get pulled along anyway. Now, if it were a stock wheel on one side and the 18 on the other side of the powertrain, then it could be really bad if driven like that for a long time.
Only problem I see is getting made fun of, alot of people might say that you were too poor to buy 4 wheels at once, so you did 2 and are waiting to get 2 more.

Why dont you just buy a set of cheap tires for the back. Seems like a better idea then runnin the 18s for a few reasons.
if the wheels and tires are not the same size, won't that throw off the ABS sensors? Or are our J's not that high up on the tech. ladder?
