I'm looking at getting a set of rota torques in 17X8 with a 48mm offset, it the offset too large for a third gen Jbody?

The higher the number of offset the closer is sits to the hub, a +48mm will work just fine, but it also depends on whether or not your dropped at all or on stock springs and struts.
damnit I Dont have an edit button......but another factor is the correct tire size I believe a 225/45/17 will work fine.
