205-55-16 That is the same size as the z24's have. And yes before you ask I am 100% sure that is the size you need.

You could also run a 225/50/16, if they are going to summer only wheels the 225 won't be bad, if your running them in the winter I would stick with the 205.

Why MR7's and 16"? If they are used and insanely cheap then okay, but you can find decent 17's for around $100 each, and MR7's are HEAVY and most people consider them "played out" because so many people have had/have them.

If they are strictly summer, I'd go with the 225/50. You will have a little more of a contact patch, but the same height.

However, if you're on a budget, the 205/55 will probably end up being cheaper because it's more common.

Discount Tire has 17's for under $400, and with them if your buying the tires and rims there, you get them mounted and balanced for free. Actually looks like 16's and 17's are pretty much the same price for a package there.

If you like the MR-7 in 16" chrome...then buy them. We all may not agree, but if it works for you, then go for it.

As for tires, what is your budget for them? So far you have said they are summer only, so snow/winter performance is not an issue. So you leave yourself a broad range of tires and prices. Your best bet is to just research out your specific price range on tires.com and tirerack.com, and then check a couple of local shops as well. You need to also define if you are looking for full on performance or just decent summer tires. I have had Khumo and Fuzion ZRi as my summer tires and without a doubt prefer the ZRi. The Fuzions were priced right, have given decent tread life, and are plenty sticky for my driving style.

400 for rims with no rubber?

17 inchers with rubbers, plenty of great choice for 700ish.
