As we all know, a heaver mass takes longer to change directions, so when the wheel bounces up, a heavy wheel takes longer to come back down.
Hence, a lite wheel/tire spends more time on the road, giving you better control, traction etc.
So who makes the lightest rims for our cars?

And as a bonus you're pocket is lighter too. $10,000 !!! wheels on my $500, Sunny ... L.O.F.
2.76kg - That gives me a bottom figure ... that's probably the lightest, you'll find, ( a few kg's isn't really going to matter anyway).
... and they look wicked.
I'll do some searching on some of the less exotic varieties and let you guys know if I find anything a little more down to earth.
I'm thinking about competition and if I scratched one of those I would cry ... a lot...

Depending one what wheels you get, there are some 13# Calais wheels....
or you can get the 14 inch stock rims from a 96 base model cav..
motegi sp10s are not a bad option either 14 lbs for a 15x7 wheel you can get em on ebay shipped to you for $405 with lugs and stems included, i just bought a set of the matte black and am in the process of painting the inner silver lip behind the spokes the color of my car.
Keizer 3 piece wheels can get quite light depending how much you want to pay for getting the center milled away, and/or if you use exotic fasteners to hold the wheels together.

Whats the weight on the stock 15 aluminums or the old Z24 rims. And just some random useful fact, 10lbs of rotational weight is equal to 100lbs of stationary weight. 100lbs of weight is equal to .2304 seconds.
100 pounds = tenth of a second therotically
Actually Car Science proved it to be .2304 in practice.
