i'm doing this tomorrow with my cousin but he did it hooked up to an ac splitter for his ipod so they only work when he connects that.
is there a better way to this? and where can i get a switch to turn them on/off?
actually how can i do it from the headlight switch so they come on when i turn my headlights on?
Since the headlights are a switched ground, one of the wires in the headlights is constant hot. Hook your hot wire there. Then for the ground, I would hook it up to the low beam wire. When the low beams are on, it'll turn on. Now if you still have DRL's, I'd just wire the LED's into the ignition.
got one of these to do it with. 2 prong on/off. so i'll just have to ground it to my car. but i couldn't find led strips at autozone so i picked up 2 15 inch neon tubes. i have it ghetto rigged with the ac splitter right now and i have no clue where to mount them so they're zip tied to the two plastic black tubes on the drivers side which looks like something for steering? and on the passenger side it's ziptied to the same thing on one end and just laying on the carpeting on the other.
better apots to mount these haha?
I wish I could help you out, but since I do not know what the inside of a Cavy looks like I can't. Neon tubes are much harder to mount since they don't bend like LED strips.

sunfires and cavy's have pretty much the same interior haha. my friend got a 4 door sunfire and it's the same exact thing.
not its not. there WAY different. and not even close to the same
oh, it looked the same to me. then again i didn't get in under his dash. i'll post pictures later of where i have the mounted so you guys can give me some pointers cuz i really don't know where to put them.
