Another question concerning my gauge pod. I have a 04 cav. And before you slip the gauge pod over your exsiting door pillar do you have to take off that long plastic piece that is right in front of the windshield that goes from one side to the other. It's that piece that a lot of you take off and paint. Does that have to be removed before you can slip the new door pillar gauge pod over your exsiting one. If so how do you get it off? Thanks

I just slipped my triple pillar in my 2004 cavalier over the old one and screwed it in. I didnt take anything off.
