OK, so as you guys might have read, I am changing my carpet.

I pulled out the carpet a couple mins ago and there is a pool of water on the Pass. side in the back, a bit on the drivers back, The padding in the pass. side was soaked. And the spot where there was a wet spot showing through (drivers) was almost dry.

I notice that water leaks out through those 2 plug lookin things in the back. Could it also be letting it in ? Here are some pics .....





I have some rubberized undercoating. Should i seal up those plugs ? I really cant think of where else its coming in from.....I have heard it could be coming somewhere from the vents..if thats the case, im not gonna bother !


Oh, one last thing. Last winter i didnt bother usin floor mats, and i had a good inch of ice there for a few months prolly. Its been wet on my side ever since then. Do you think that the same water could have been sitting there for such a long time and no evaporated ?

Vacuum out all the water.... close the doors.

Sit inside the car while your friend runs the hose on the outside...

You should be able to see it dripping in.

I had the same problem when i had my POS neon. The floorboard behind the drivers seat would get saturated with water. I tried a dozen different tests to see where the water was coming from, never could figure out how it was coming in, then did one final vaccum of the water and traded it in for a s10.

I have the same problem with my car but mines a vert. In my case its the window seal which is the main culprit;with a bit of help from leaking around one of the windows.

I would try out the suggestion of having a friend spray the car with water while you're inside it. Hopefully its just something minor and nothing thats too difficult to fix. Leaking is something I cant stand to have in a car

Do you have a sunroof?

Maybe one of them drain hoses is leaking and going down the side and on to the floor.

Ive already had that problem once already.

Yes I do have a sunroof. Where does the drain hose go to in the car ?

It rained today so im gonna go check out the carpet in a min.

Im really just hoping that it was the same water that was sittin in there for a year or so....cuz it really stunk, it was weird.
