Interior Chips?

i painted the radio bezel, and let it dry between each coat for 15-20 min. I have 3 coats on it, then i let it dry full over night. Next morning i went to put it back in the car, and it started chipping really easy. I rubbed it down good with rubbing alcohol and stuff, but not sure why it started chipping. What should i do know? Sand down the area where the chips are and paint over it, or sand down the whole thing?

get thsi stuff from walmart called peeler, makes the paint bubble right up. then sand it down and clean it real good. Use krylon paint, i wouldnt go with the fusion, it sprays really wierd. get a can of clear enamel while your at it and put about 3 or 4 coats of that on there, then you can wetsand the clear with 2000 lightly, then polish it up.

Did you sand it at all before starting?

be careful with the paint remover spray stuff... some products will eat through the plastic if there not made for plastic....read the can before you buy it

Use Bond-Aid, sold at Autozone. Spray a good coat on first, then after about 3-5 mins spray on ANY paint you want. It'll stick with no problems.

if you clean it good the paint will stick fine. you probably have residue still on the pieces.

yeah use a scotch bright pad, with a soft side and a rouch side

use a mild soap and water solution, then use the soft side to get it wet and rub it around, then use the rough side to really clean, and take about 5mins to clean the piece, then dry with a towel(really good), and wait a lil bit to make sure that its completely dry or u can wait over night, then do light coats(i used Krylon fusion), u need the lights coats to make a base for the paint to stick to. make sure you drag the can from end to end, becare not to over spray, you want it to be even...good luck
