I was wondering for those people that have fiberglassed the rear dash, how is it to get back into the car once it's all stiff? I have read a couple of how to's to remove it and it says to bend the dash slightly , but you could not do that once it was hard. Do you have to remove the trim around the rear side windows to let it slide straight in? Looking at that, what size is the bit to get the seat belt off, looks like it could be a T45 or T50? I have seen a few people that have done the same thing that I would like to do and thats fiberglass new 6x9s in. How much room is ther under that rear dash? My plan would be to have the 6x9s pointing to the front and sunken in half way and tilted slightly up. I just would like to know if there is some room to work under there or is there metal in the way covering the whole openning? I bought a set of Alpine type R 6x9 with the tweeter in the center. And have a 300w amp that will run those and the 6.5 component speakers I fiberglassed into the doors. I think this will sound good until I finish my sub enclosures. Any feed back would be great.
i always take the side panels off when dealing with the rear deck, those pieces wernt meant to be bent to get out. people just do that because its the lazy way to do it. the rear deck is just a heavy pressed cardboard type material and can break if your bending it to much, my rear is fiberglassed. u just have to make sure you dont put to much on it, or it will start to get to thick and wont go back all the way. u have the room to angle 6x9's but one thing u have to account for is the rear glass. make sure you test fit it before u throw down your first layer of resin, i took my old rear deck and put some pods in near where the 6x9's normally go and angled them up for looks, and fiberglassed them. and when i put it in the car found out the pod was hitting the glass and i couldnt get it all the way back, (thats what happens when u dont test fit your projects) believe the torx is a t-50

Perfect, Ya i want to keep the profile really low as it goes towards the glass. I don't want to change the size to much. I just want the 6x9s to come out a little. Do you have any pics of you set up?
