Well I HATE buying things off Ebay because I always have bad luck so what do you guys think of these gauges and the seller, I mean the price is only $2.00?? I know shipping is like 14.99 but still thats a good deal, or is it. HELP! I'd just like to know if you think its a good deal or what you think about the seller, i just hate Ebay.

my dad got a set for his 95 cav from the same guy and recieved them in less than a week. easy install so i ordered a set for my 98 fire yesterday should have them by the end of next week.

some pics on the install on the Fire, i like the gauges, but dunno how hard the install might be. Also, id want to wire them to the lighting switch on the steering column, i think its possible, just dont know how.

Ive been noticing that the shipping on items through eBay is going through the roof. There is no way in hell it costs $14 to ship that tiny ass thing, it's so light, the box can't be thicker than an inch.

I guess its a good deal though, just because the starting bid is so low.

When I bought my faceguages on eBay a while back the page said that you didn't have to remove the needles and the faceguage just slid over them. Well I ended up having to remove the needles to make it work.

Needless to say it was a damn lengthy process, because I had to reset all the needles to where I thought they were before i took everything apart (gas, engine temp). As for RPM's i pushed the RPM needle back on with the car running at idle, approx where I thought it idled. For MPH, I had my mom drive next to me doing 50MPH, set the cruise, had my sister stear the car, while i pushed the needle back on...

Good luck, it may turn out to be a lengthy process, but then again you have a totally different faceguage.

i got one from ebay, and they are great, but i ended up spanding 15 more from them to get the dfferent box without the on off button thing... so you might want to look at elglowgauges.com. i think thats the address, depending on how much you get those guages for, the other would be cheaper in the long run unless you want to hit a button to turn them on every time you want to see your gauges

Shipping on ebay has gotten ridiculous lately. Specially since I work for UPS and do shipping all day long. There is no way those guages would cost anything more then $6/7 to ship.

Thats the same guy who wants to charge an even $200 for shipping car seats and I laughed at him.

As for gauges on ebay, I bought mine from there. They worked perfect, look badass at night, and have never gone wrong.

the shipping on the package when my dad got his was like around 2 bucks. you get the item cheap but they screw you on the shipping.

they make up for charging cost in the auction by making the profit on the shipping. I always just figure the shipping into the price knowing most people rip you off on the shipping. I messed up and bid on an auction that didn't have the shipping listed, guy wanted to charge me like $95 to ship a computer case. After telling him where I would like the tower shipped I decided to not complete that transaction

^ exactly because on the actual winning bid price ebay gets a small chunk. whereas if they sell an item for lets say a penny and charge you 35 bucks for shipping they don't really have to give ebay jack.

I never have like the ones with the huge spots that light up like that at night. I would only get the ones that light up the stock stuff at night not anything more. Just my thoughts....

I was thinking about getting a set for my 96 Cavalier. Does anyone know if it comes with the side panels with the lights such as check engine, turn signals, etc?

if i'm not mistaken they are the same gauges found at elgauges.com. I bought mine from ebay and they look great. check my cardomain for a couple pictures. The one thing that's not so great is the "on" button you need to push after turning on your dash lights. Not that big of a deal though, and you can place the button on the steering column. easy to access and still out of the way

I think that they charge a ridiculous shipping charge, since the seller will only have to pay 3% on $2.00 as oposed to 3% on $10-15 and charge $4-5 on shipping. The shipping ebay doesn't take a % from, just the sale price....
In otherwords, the person selling those and everyone else that does that, is being real cheap, and screwing ebay out of a fair deal

I ordered em, I hope I actually get em cuz I have the worst luck ever with EBAY! I don't mind the high shipping price. They do that on purpose. I mean $2.00 buy it now for the gauges and $14.99 shipping. I don't see why they can' t just make it $14.99 for the gauges and $2.00 shipping. I guess it just draws more ppl in when theyre only $2. Can't wait to get these in I love the design. Thanks for all the feedback!
