for those with ipods or other mp3 players
Where do you guys have it sitting while it's plugged in? I'm looking for creative ideas for installing a dock permanantly, then you can just take the ipod as you need.. if anyone has pictures, or links to other forums that have ideas, Thanks!

am i missing something..i know its off topic but whats with the ipods???? they re expensive and you have to pay to get music for them right?? so whys so many people use them?

still expensive...lots of other players out there for MUCH less...even my cell phone plays mp3's !

Oh I agree, I won't have an Ipod. I have a mp3 player that takes CF cards (currently got a 256 in it) that I use for walking/yardwork, and my headunit in my car has a SD slot. No need for an Ipod for me.

the answer is simple. I am a consumer whore
When Alpine makes a "all MP3 Player" adapter, that I can use to control one using my head unit, I'll get rid of my ipod. Until then, it sits right in my glove compartment, out of sight. I know I have it, no need for anyone else to know.

i mean theres just better things out there..personally i HATE cds ...scratch,skip, cost too much themselves (if they are prerecorded)..i used miniDiscs for the longest time now alot of times i just make a play list and plug my laptop into the head unit and go

my 30gig video ipod arrives here from apple.com on the 24th. i was looking.. most use change holders, one guy made a "bulge" on the underside of his dash to hold it
