Bottom dash removal
Saturday, November 05, 2005 7:25 PM
I want to paint the bottom of my dash, don't know the name of it but it's around the glove box and underneath the steering wheel. Need to know how to remove it. Any help is appreciated.

exact same as your other thread you created. Its attached to the piece that runs along the window, you have to take the whole dash off, steering wheel as well to get that piece out. Its basically the entire dash you're taking out...

You're better off not painting it. Too much work to get it out.

i took that entire piece out in about an hour without any manual or knowledge. its really not hard at all you just follow around the edges and start removing your screws. pull your radio. and hvac, pull the passenger airbag (see other post about saftly removing airbags) youlle have to pull off some of your top ducting and your steering wheel. its really not bad at all.

or you can tape everything off and put garbage bags over everything and paint it, just be uber careful
