If there is already a thread on this then sorry and you can all shoot me in the head 6 times. But i was wondering since most people know that the 95-99 center consoles dont have cupholders really and i just dont like how the shift boot looks.
So the question is has anyone tried this before and would it bolt up straight and fit between the stock seats and all that stuff. And also the 00-02 do have 2 cupholders right? And would the power window part out of mine fit in that one or would i have to do that custom? And thats pretty much most of the questions.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
It'll bolt right in, youll have 2 cup holders, a bigger arm rest cubby thing.. cuz the cupholder is removable. Also ur switches will go into the new console.. but not the whole panel.. it would easier to just get one with the pw panel and switches and just plug in the connector.. Also i like the 00 becuz teh ebrake lever had a boot and is a lil more "attached" to the console. I'm gonna be getting one shortly for when i do my new interior..

Hey man I did a search on ebay for "cavalier console" and it brought up 2 consoles. One for an 02 tan and one for an 03 charcoal. Go there and get em for round 50 bucks shipped.

I will shoot you in the head if you buy a center console from gm, or anything else from gm. Either go ebay like ^^^ or I can get you one too. There's like 30 cavy/sunfires in our local yard. Hit me up on IM or email - look at profile.

Bit of extra info on the console swap. It will bolt right in but the bolt hole that is in the very front will be off centered, If you force the hole to line up with the mounting bracket under the console it will look off center. When I had a 97 I put a 2000 console in and also used the@!#$er mechanism from the 200 as well for a perfict fit.
^ true dat! mine sits crooked and the center bolt (behind the shifter) wasn't even close to lining up. you definitely will want to swap the mounting brackets over too.
