Just wondering if a hub adaptor from a 89 j body would fit on a 2001 j body?

Depends. I believe the grant 3196 hub adapter will fit, as it works for most GM cars. I think the MOMO should work as well, but check with Johnny law in your area about removing the airbag. Check with your insurance too. I've heard that some companies won't cover if you're in an accident, and a factory installed safety device was tampered with or removed. I'd love to have an aftermarket wheel, but don't want the risk.
