I am wanting to do some moding to my interior dash and I need to info on how to do this if anyone knows.
I want to get a cluster that has Gas, Temp, RPM, and MPH compared to my current Gas, Temp and MPH ('96 Cavalier). Is this possibal or does my car only report the Gas temp and mph to the cluster or can I get something to display the rpms on it.
Second, I wan tot change the lighting. I want ot make my lights green on the interior with the green neon glow behind the gauge needles.
If posibal some links to where I can get this stuff would be great, thanks in advance.

since you have a 96 cavalier, just find a cluster from a 96-98 z24 and swap it in. its a direct swap and you will have a working tach. i did this in my 97 with no problems. you can also change the bulbs that are in the cluster. you said you wanted green, so order 4 green 194 light bulbs, and you'll be set. the instructions for installing new bulbs in the cluster have been posted numerous times. just search and you'll have everything you need. i put blue bulbs in my cluster and it looks great at night, matches all my other blue stuff. if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask

this is the best that my retarded camera can do. they are blue in person i don't know why my camera made them look purple. they actually match the blue hvac lights. i ordered them from

So I need to get a cluster from a Z24 modle and replace the bulbs with the ones on that ebay site to get the effect I want correct?

i believe they are #74 LEDs. you can get them from the same ebay seller that i listed above. you'll need 2 of them, i think they cost $2.99 each. to install those, all you have to do is take apart your dash, remove the hvac face and swap the bulbs

Ok, I went onto Ebay and found these auctions. Let me know what you think would give me the closest result I want (sorry, new at this).
I noticed that the Numbers and such are already painted blue/red.... will a green bulb mix with that and make a weird color or will it still look nice and green?

So hooking up the stock wiring to these will give them a rpm reading.... right, sorry just like the verify before I spend money... let me know what you all think.

do NOT get the reverse glow gauge cluster it looks nice for awhile but after a couple of months it starts to bubble up and look horrible...
yea you got it easy for changin the lights, damn 00+ is hard if not impossible
