i was just wondering if there are any smaller fiberglassing projects i could do to the car just to accent some parts and get some practice before moving on to the sub box/trunk setup. i'm up for any ideas
anyone got anything interesting or creative?
you could make some pods for your rear speakers
2003 Sunfire 2.2L Ecotec
5 speed,K&N Filter,Stainless Free Flow Muffler,2" Lowering Springs,17" Wheels.
door pieces, dash bezel(fill lighter in), speaker pods, anything you want. just give it a try
I just glassed my armrest (SF GT 5spd) and colour matched it to the exterior. I also just finished my door pannel inserts (where the materel was) glassed those, and painted to match also. Have fun sanding!!!
You can do anything you want, with fiberglass, you are only limited to your imagination.
you could make one of these
A good starting point might be just fiberglassing over a surface(like your sadh or doors). This way you get a feel for how to do it. Then you can work up to some panels for say your rear speakers or kicpanels. This is what I plan on doing. Good luck!
Wide Body Progress
This was the first time i did any glass work on the inside of a car and used my walk-in closet to do it. Grab a 2nd dash at the scrap yard a work on that one first
