would i be able buy a moon roof from the gm dealer or a junkyard or somthing and be able to put it into my car ?

i got my moonroof for $30 from a u-pill it and it works. but its replaceing my non working one
its more work then you think and theres no gaurentee it wont leak. its do-able but just remember your weaking the whole car by cutting into the roof and taking a piece out on a car that wasnt designed for a sun/moonroof

Do you really think GM makes special cavaliers that are going to have sunroofs? A sunroof is an aftermarket accessor. It doesnt weaken the car at all. Cutting your entire roof off to make a convertible would weaken the car, not installing a sunroof.
Gm didn't make any roofs with sunroofs.. they used an outside contractor.

and Js never came with moon roofs. they have power sunroofs. moonroofs go into the roof of the car not over it.

^^ if i had a 4 door i would rock a rag top insted, of a sunroof, since im cutting up the roof anyways.
i have a 2 door Sunfire GT (1998) that didnt come with a roof :-( would love to have one, but have no clue what i would do haha....though i do remember almost purchasing a vehicle from a dealer many years ago, and i said i HAD to have a sunroof (the car i was looking at didnt have one), he said they would MAKE one for an extra 1000$...i ended up not buying the car but still....can be done i guess...

Would have to adjust the tracks and probably shave down the inside of the headliner and pad the underside of the roof so that the glass wouldnt tear up the headliner or get scratched on the metal frame of the roof....
And Js did come with non-power sunroof / monroof / asteroidroof in them...1st and 2nd gens had manual pop-up windows they called "Vista Vents" and 3rd gens got power roofs...lucky bastids...
