Aftermarket Steering Wheel on A 2000 Sunfire,

Which Grant Hub would I use since I'am using a Grant SW?

I think It's a 3196 hub adapter?

Is there anything i should know of before i do this, airbag problems or trouble getting the sw off!

Any help would be great! Thanks!

i've read over and over and over, don't do it. if your steering wheel has a bag, don't mess with it. your life is more valuable than a steering wheel

blah blah blah blah.

I'm keeping my stock steering wheel so I have no help to offer you lol. (sorry!)

I hope you find what you're looking for!

Then why reply?

Seems to me there have been cars without air bags a lot longer then there have been cars with air bags...

I know you may not care much but...

Leave the airbag in, or spend the money on an aftermarket wheel that has an airbag.

Reason A: Do you like your smile? If you T-bone or rear end someone, or are rear ended, you won't have one anymore (I just had a car written off last month, rear ended at about 60K at a dead stop)

Reason B: It is ILLEGAL and can cause your insurance to be CANCELLED because after 1993 airbags are considered mandatory equipment, they are no longer optional. (I know this cuz I worked on camaros and guys used to take the airbags out of their 91's and 92's all the time)

Reason C: See illegal above, it just gives Mr. Officer more crap to give you tickets for if you're pulled over (Up here in Canada we have street racing a street racing blitz thing... they pull over every modified car into a parking lot and do safties on the spot, as well as etests.

Thats just my opinion, if you have your heart dead set on it just don't blow it up in your face (disable the disc, fuse, and battery before you start) and don't get any tickets for it!

There will always be someone faster than you, but thousands slower and dumber than you.

Yeah, luckily here in the US, the cops have to have a reason to pull you over. Not just because you drive a modded car. I started getting into it with a cop when I was levaing Darknights in Canada a couple years ago. I got pulled over not even doing the speed limit, no loud stereo, no anything. In the states, the cop would not have been allowed to pull me over. I've never had a cop say anything about me steering wheel, even when I was in Canada.

Wow, thats amazing cuz where I live none of the cops will pull you over and do tests or inspections. Must vary from province to province.

BS they are not manditory in many states. I know for a fact that in PA you can take your airbags out, ive read over inspection laws many times, and got my car inspected with no bags and it passed. it may be illegal where you live, but where you live doesn't apply to everywhere.

and besides, im sure anyone installing a new wheel has looked at the pros and cons of a new wheel and decided that the pros outweigh the cons. people survived crashes witout airbags before, and we can do it again
