I'm experiencing a problem, the bulbs in my gauge cluster are burning out. Right now, the temp gauge is barely lit and half the speedo is dim. What can be done?

You're easiest solution would be to either swap clusters with one from a junkyard. You could solder in new bulbs, or leds, but since the bulbs are soldered in, it may be a pain to solder them in.
Thanks for the suggestion. Is the digital odometer attached to the cluster?

It's stored in the BCM, so when you change clusters, your mileage will stay the same. You can use any 00+ cluster, sunfire or cavy.
well from what i was told by the guys at black cat customs the readings are stored in the cluster not the BCM.

96-99 (both mechanical and digital) mileage is stored in the cluster ONLY. 2000+ the mileage is stored in the BCM ONLY. The BCM does store mileage.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Its all stored in the BCM.. I'm selling BCM's w/ lower mileage for people worried about getting their cars totalled just in case of an accident. I dunno if its odo fraud, but hey, I'd do it to keep my baby
