K, I've looked and found out that the electronic portion will not work. so anyone know about fit?
I'll be keeping all electronics from the 97. I'm swapping the complete interior in my 97 convert with one from a 2000 convert, I know eveything is pretty much the same except I don't really have any idea about the lower dash, (the dash part that's a fing bitch to remove), I do know the cluster/radio changed in 2000, but not sure if they changed the cluster fit.
I'm also thinking about just keeping this whole portion, and just swapping out the dash pad, one prob, I'm going fron grey to tan, and not sure if I'll like the trim closest to the window gray while everthing else is tan.
TIA

Yes the dash will swap, and yes the cluster fit is a little different. You can make it work with just a little bit of work. DO it.

Cool, thanks.
Ummm...
How much is 'a little bit of work'?
Just curious because removing the main section of the dash is a time consuming process, I want to make sure I'm not gonna waste my time with it. Everything else is already out except this section of dash, I originally intended to replace with same color (grey/black) but like the tan better especially since I'm getting a really great deal on this 'new' interior to replace the current 200 or so cigarette burn (how the hell the previous owner burnt a hole INSIDE! the glove box is beyond me?!?), ripped, stained one and convert interiors are so hard to find.
Thanks again

I was wondering the same thing, but I didn't want to go through the time/money just to figure out i couldnt get the cluster to fit good.
I have a '98 Z24, and did an ECO swap in mine. And in the process, found that I needed alotta parts off the donor car. For one, I had to upgrade to a new cluster (digital odo). When I did, I started to put my original dash together and found that this new cluster wouldn't fit into my previous center trim/bezel. So I went and got a '00+ center trim/gauge bezel (the one with the radio above the climate control knobs), and started puttin everything back together again, and found that I needed the entire lower dash too. It fits completely different then the '95-'99. I got ahold of said dash, and have yet to put it all back together. Word is that the top pad is the same, tho. Going thru with the 00+ upgrade is a lil more involved that one might think. I even went with the newer center console, and found out that my power window switches won't fit in the opening.Everything looks alike, but the subtle differences are a pain in the ass. It'd actually be easier to go with a Sunfire swap.
