Auto shifter

Hi all,I'm new around here,I've had a few j-body's.I recently purchased an 87 Sunfire GT.The question I have is the auto shifter. The leather on it is very worn.Is there an easy way to replace it,or do they make a cover for it,or is my only option to go to an upholstery shop. Thanks

go to a junker, and pick up an auto knob with leather, alot will fit, im pretty sure Grand AM's and Fbodys will fit, though dont quote me on othe fbodys (then again it can alwas fit with alittle modifcation.

But is there any way to fix my one without changing it.Or how hard is it to take off.Does the whole knob pop right off.

If you look behind the knob there's a pin that's in the shape of a staple, pull that out and it comes right off. You're better off just buying a new one, if you dont want to spend money, they're cheap on ebay.
