I have a 96 2.2L auto cav w/o a tach in the cluster. I was wondering if I would be able to get a cluster off of a cav that had a tach in the 95-99 range and put it in mine and get a tach reading from my stock connection for the cluster. If not, what wires would I have to splice together and whatnot? Thanks.

I have a 97 cavy and I swapped the cluster out of a 95 Z24 so i could have the tach, everything is plug and play. Tach works and everything

My car has a 3spd auto in it, if I buy a cluster that came off a 4 spd will ti still work? Im guessing that they light indicating what gear I am in will just be worng?

you are correct the indicator will be wrong but it will work thats what i did to mine

yes it will i had a 3 spd auto before swappin tranny's and i exchanged my stock no/tach cluster for one out of a 98-99 z-24 5-speed it took a while but i got it!!! also if ur car has that theft lock than u need to do this. plug in the new tach turn ignition to the on postion for about 15 mins, then once your 15 is up turn it to the off position for like 5 then the computer will read the new code!!!

mildly built 99' ln2, eagle h-beam rods, wiseco forged alum. pistons, cusco oil catch, t3/t4 super 60 garret, tial 40 mm wastegate, hp tuners, prothane mount inserts, 2.5" exhaust.
So a manual Z24 w/tach cluster will work fine in a manual 2.2 w/o tach car and its all plug and play. Is there a difference between the 2.4L tach clusters and the 2.2L tach clusters as far as layout or anything goes?

The wording in the FAQ isnt very clear and it can still leave some questions. Just trying to make it crystal for everyone and a list of what cars were available with and without tachs would be a nice addition.

Basicly he is saying that there should be a list of what clusters will fit in what cars, like a 95-99 cluster with or without a tach, manual or auto 3/4spd, will fit in all 95-99 cavs and is plug and play and so on.

Sigh, im still waiting for my cluster. I paid for it on Dec 4th, was not processed until dec 5th, and here it is dec 7th and STILL no shipment. It has not even shipped out yet. They told me "2-3 days for processing". Well, I have never seen a company take over 2 days to process a order. Tommorow is the last day they have

I got my new cluster and installed it today
Eveything is working fine, and the tach added a nice touch to my guages. I just order some white-face guages and a chrome guage bezel for it. They should be here in about a week. I will post up my pics when I am done with it all. Thanks for the help eveyone.

what about an impala or even a malibu cluster? since im putting a 3400 in my 98'.
I just got my White Glow guages in then mail today. I cant wait to put them in. I am waiting till I get my Chrome Trim until I take apart my cluster and dash again. Why go through all that work twice in 2/3 days Lol.
Anyone have any info on how to take the glass off the front of the cluster? I know these guages go inside the cluster. Do I take the hold black guages off or are they permanet, like just lay these new white guages over them? Basicly any tims on installing the glow guages and trim would help, thanks.
