Would like to change the colour of my 94 cav. convertibles interior from the puky gray to black. Never used those new spray bombs before on plastic. Should i try it or try to find a black interior at the wreckers???????? thanks, Marty
u wont find a black interior at the wreckers. go get some vynal dye or plastic paint. remove yoru aprts from the car clean your parts well. tape things off u dont want painted and go for it. if yoru really worried about it, go to the wreckers and just buy spare parts and paint them. that way you still have your stock pieces if something goes wrong. but if you get them from the wreckers, make sure you clean them several times as the dirty and grime has had ample time to build up on them.

Dupli Color has some really nice paint. Try the flat black which is more close to regular interior black. I used it on my car which amazing results. Just make sure you paint 3-5 layers to do a good job.
Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!! Ive got lots of spare parts layin around so i,ll try the Dupli Color & practice first!
Here's some tips for painting.
- Don't use the rattle can like a spray gun.
- Get a thin coat over an area and then develope the color.
- Don't get too close cuz it will run bad.
- PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!! it took me a couple of tries but i got the hang of it.
Thanks! I know using a spray bomb is different from using my gun! Light coats are much better.......and i have to try and take my time!!!!!!!!!!!!lol
