Lower Dash Removal

Do you have to remove the upper dash to remove the lower part? I am installing an alarm and keyless entry system and I want to remove the lower dash, Please Help.

lower dash is a PITA to remove. And yes upper dash has to come off....


jsut save urself some time and lie on your back and jsut look up into the wiring

yes, like said above... you have to remove the upper to get to the lower, and it is a BIG Pain in the ass to remove the bottom. you need to remove the steering wheel, airbag, turn signal and wiper modules, and some mroe to remove the lower. trust me when i say, for doing what your going to do.. ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!

Thanks for the advice I will keep the dash on and lay on my back.

Mods this thread can be deleted, I have the info I need.

the lower dash can be yanked out in about an hours time. to me it doesnt seem as difficult as everyone makes it out to be. its just basically following the dash around and taking screws off as u find them.

a tip for working under your dash, take your front seats out (4 nuts and a plug very easy)so you can lay on your back and it makes much more comfortable to work, just watch out for them studs when laying down they can suck.
