I know there was a post about this a while ago where someone used STOCK brackets for aftermarket seats. but i cant find it. does anyone know anything about this. thanks. im gettin my new seats in a couple weeks and i want to use the stock seat brackets. thanks alot guys
i remember hearing about it, but idk how they ended up doing it. i think i searched when i got my seats and couldn't find pics, but somewhere alone the lines i either found or was pointed to a really good write up with pics on how to make brackets.

I used the stock brackets with my seats. However, the seats I got were the same width as the stock seats, the only difference was that the mounting points were slightly shorter than stock. Lemme see if I can find that post for you...

The only problem with the stockers, you sit so damn high unless your a midget. I tried them once with my last seats, even drove all the way to the bash in 04', and my god it sucked

Yeah thats my pet peeve, I'm only 5'4 and the seats are still too damn high for my liking. I'm currently working on getting a custom set made to replace the stocks because I dont wanna cut them up if I sell the car back to stock its easier than finding another stock set of brackets.
I've been on the stock brackets for a year. They work except the passenger seat doesn't like sliding at all, good thing I drive alone 99% of the time lol
