Do you guys think that the resale value of a car will go down when small fiberglassing projects are done on the inside? There are some people out there who think that it will, and others including myself who think that if it is done right, can actually increase the value over the cheap stock interior complements of GM. What are your opinions?
It won't increase the value of the car per say...blue book will still be the same as if it was stock. Same as it would with all mods for the most part.
The extra money you might get for a mod like this would be finding someone who wants it done and understands the value. Otherwise you'll not get anything for any mod you do.
I've been told you can add 10% of the total cost of mods to the BB value of a car and that is considered fair. So when you mod...mod for youself and realize if you ever sell the car, you won't get back near what you put in it.
You may find someone willing to pay for the mods, but not an average buyer.
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
just about any interior mods will lower the value faster then anything other type of mods. My dealer takes in modded cars on trade all the time, but they will not take a car with a painted up interior because noone wants them
unless you sell the car to a modder and you fiberglass it perfectly...it will decrease the value of the car
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Depends on how cleanly done everything is. Painted interiors though are a no no
Well basically, I am looking at just a layer or bondo on dash piece around the radio and gauges, it has some cracks in it, and then I was just going to paint it a black or flat black, nothing flashy or fancy, just something to make it a little more pleasing to the eyes. What do you think?

no, its not even done correctly. if it was done correct and it was the same color as before to match the rest of the interior then it still wont increase the value, you would just break even.
what you paid for it , minus 3000
It will take it down no matter how well the job was done, unless you sell it to somebody who doesnt know too much and just thinks ohhhh awww shiny...dont kill the messenger man...
