I'm looking for ideas on my subbox for my cavalier. I'm going to be running two 12" subs and I'd like to also find a way to include a amp rack. Looking for pics for some ideas. Thanks in advance.
god your car is clean. i orgasm every time i see it... haha
Not wild or anything, kind of simple. Logitec box with MDF panels cut to fit the trunk and square it off and then covered them with vinyl. Running two 18 inch LED strips on the top of the trunk. Subs are 10 inch and then two amps on the false floor (sorta as it's really there so I could screw the amps down and run the wiring and hide it).
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
Sorry about the b&w camera seems to be possessed, and ignore the exhaust. Still in progress, finally got the plywood faceplate for the mdf box to fit perfectly snug. When the seat is raised it won't rest against them anymore. Just need to find some nice suede material for the rear deck, box and door panels. Anyone have any online recommendations?? the fabric stores around here don't carry black suede..
Here is my trunk, just finished it up yesterday along with the rest of my car interior.
^THe online store I used for suede is fabric.com, first order is free shipping, usually discounts. Check it out.

but he does have the right too..... lol
here's mine...
i tried to keep it clean without doing anything overboard or too fancy. it works for me
nice work guys!! I ran into a snag last night.. the rods that put torque on the trunk hinges just barely rub the top of my sub box. I was SURE i made it where they wouldn't rub.. and solution ot the rods?

How does that sub sound installed like that? I have the same sub (Pioneer Premier 12" Shallow TSSW1241D?) and want to do something close to that.

Sounds decent. I'm not one for heavy bass, so its good enough for me
I have no idea what the model # is either
Do you have any measurements for your trunk? as in the dims of all the boards you used?
and how do you get to the tail lights if you blow a bulb, remove the subs?
looks really neat and clean. well done
Alistair
Only masurements I have..
Up by the back seat, its 36" wide, 17" high.
There's 34" between the trunk hinges
Trunk is 37" deep
here are the measurements for the sub boxes of my trunk...
and if that doesn't help, you can always go back to my forum page where there are progress pics of the entire project...
