Shifter Swap - Interior Forum

Shifter Swap

tried the other day to swich out my stock shifter in my 05 for a aftermarket short throw shifter. i can disconect everything but the post coming out on the drivers side into the linkage. just wondering if there wa a trick to getting it out before i snap it on accident.

your having a problem getting the linkage off? if so get a flat head to help you get it off, i know they are hard to remove. that was the hardest part in doing my install. make sure you mark the cables too.

Thats awsome thank you so much. ill let you know how it comes out. mine didnt come with a replacement side to side pivot pin so time for some fabrication. thanks again

Wish I had that when I did my install... I ended up re-adjusting my cables. It wasen't bad , but I could have saved some time. Did anyone else have to re-use the plastic bushing off of the stock shifter? I have the b+m short throw and the one they sent was too large in diameter.
