I have a 97 Z24 that unfortunantely has the automatic tranny. My question is this: Will the top portion of the shifter knob of a similar year Sunfire GT work on my Cav? I think that the top portion of the shifter knobs in the Cavs are just plain ugly looking with that stupid big button on the top. Answer is greatly appreciated in advance.

should be the same. just see if the clip that holds it in place is the same. only other thing that is different is the ets button on the side. never tried this but i gotta a T-top shifter from a lumina euro in mine

should work, i have a t-handle out of an 05 malibu in my 98.

I found a nice leather wrapped shifter knob from out of a 98 Sunfire GT. Huge improvement over the old ugly Chevy one. Everything lined up good to including the clip to hold it in. 10 bucks at the bone yard.
