So the last 2 projects on the interior I completed were the rear buck seats, and the graphite carpet. Now onto the next phase. The new air ride gauges, switches, and relocations.
Who stole my HVAC?
OH THERE THEY ARE!
Alrighty, so why move them, and leave the slot open?
Well, the plan is to install 3 air pressure gauges in the newly open slot. 2 for Air pressure on each corner, 1 for tank pressure. Then maybe shave the center A/C vents, and put in a billet s-10 defrost vent in there place. This way air still comes out of it.
For the A/C controls, I need to get a bolt tomorrow at work small enough to fit my mounting tab. So the lovely Zip Tie will have to do for now. I may also make a fiberglass cover to go around the A/C control box, to hide any wires, or mounting spots.
And now to the switches! This will be done using power window switches. I am getting a 2nd 4 door power window switch that will be for the switches. And they will be mounted right where the stock location is. Then the ones that control the windows, will be moved underneath the console lid.
I've been thinking of doing a custom console for the entire set up. One that has a spot for all 3 gauges, switches, and power window switches. But I figure this method will keep the stock'ish look to the interior.
