The upper part of my dash cover cracked on each side near the doors. The drivers side actually broke off, so I put a picture of it here for better detail. I am guessing that the heat did this, as I noticed it after I got into my car on a hot day that I forgot to leave the window cracked open. (Opened the door and found the interior of my car set to "London Broil").
Anyway, does anyone know how I can fix this nicely without having to dismantle the dash and replace it? I thought about a good epoxy but decided to get some opinions first just in case.
If there isn't a way to fix it with good quality, making it nearly undetectble , does anyone know the part number?
i had a body shop fix mine in my white Z24
but in my gray Z24 i have a crack in the same exact place
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE, i have already died once and im still here so lets just leave it on the track
wow, ive never seen or heard about the dash cracking in that particular location, generally its right in the middle .
heres the fix:
coverlays
Yea mine was cracked like that on the sides, but sometime last week it cracked right in the middle. I'm going to do the whole dash cause mine has a rattle now. I guess mine cracked down pretty low also under the dash.
mine cracked exactly like that on that side. just completely broke off. my guess is it was the heat also. your best bet would be to try to glue it back with some epoxy or get some gorilla glue and then maybe purchase the new cover from coverlay as posted above. keep an eye out for your dash. mine cracked there and didnt stop. i had cracks all over and underneath the dash pad. good luck man.
I NEED a 97-99 LD9 engine harness for an auto.PM if u hav info.!!
Thanks! That is a lot easier than what I thought I may have had to do. I really did not want to replace the whole piece.
That's what I like about JBO. No mater the situation someone ALWAYS has an answer for you.
