Using 95-99 air bags in a 2k+
Monday, October 01, 2007 9:07 PM
I'm doing an eco swap in my 99 car. I've figured out that the air bag plugs are different. Can I hack the plug off my 99 harness and wire it onto my 2k harness and use my old air bags? the bags DO need to work as I'm selling this car to someone else, and isn't for me

I say no. One, do you want to risk it? Two, they are probably different for a reason (different resistances possibly).

yeah im thinking that i wouldnt want to mess with doing that. the only way to find out if they really work is to deploy them and so thats a little scary if you get into an accident

YAY! I love hearing "ITS BEEN DONE" lol Especially from a source I know not to be retarded

there's a LOT of plugs that are different for no damn reason. The HVAC blower uses the same 2 14 gauge wires, but a different plug. I'm not buying a blower...I just swapped plugs lol
