ik this was in the sticky but when i clicked on directions said post wasnt availible or something, so any input??? i wanna have the boot, and manual knob

well, you can buy the pre-made boots, or make your own.

then get a manual shift knob or an automatic you like, and install it.

this is a very simple thing to do

that piece snaps out. just pull hard on it and it comes out.

^^ yup, the center piece 'bezel' is for a 5spd.

ya but i think he has a sunbird, not cav/fire, so it may be different. i think my buddys bird was a solid piece in the console

yea it is, well i guess i just bust out the dremel, that should do it, i want to put a manual knob on, it should work as long as i make sure i can push the knob down so it engages right?

you can do that or pick up a momo automatico knob. "looks" like a manual but you depress the center button to engage the shift. A little pricey, but I like mine, I picked up the leather wrapped. Pretty nice IMO.

ic ic ya i was thinking about that too, but the pricy-ness is gonna be the reason i dont lol, its just for some fun to c how i like the look, if i do, ill end up buying the momo

i went to advanced, just to see how it would fit, and honestly its prolly a stupid question, but i cant get the thing to work, i push down and it didnt engage, maybe the knob wasnt long enuff idk. im just stupidified
