I like the top part of 03-05 Sunfire dashes, you know, with the round vents. Is it possible to just switch out the top part of the dash?
Yes it will bolt right up.
i needed to know this as well, good post man
Don't forget iirc u need the one set of vent tubes to accommodate for the round vents
The '95 - '02 passenger side air vent ducts (all one piece) will work, however I would recommend going ahead and getting the '03 - '05 ducts if you can so everything matches up nicely
.
You do not have to change the ducts. I've been running an 03 dash with the older ducts for years now and there is no noticable difference in appearance or cooling.
^^^^^^ that's what I was thinking.... the vents are in the same spots it's just a different shape, I don't see how it would effect it at all.
No, it doesn't make a difference really, but I was just saying if he has the chance to get the dash pad
and the air vent ducts, might as well grab 'em both
.
well I'll keep that in mind, good looking out
Oh my...this' a KILLER thread!!!!
Dose anyone have a set of sunfire fiberglass dash and door panels?

Ok, so I just want to be 100% sure. What everyone is saying if I want to change my 97 fire dash to an 03-05 dash, its a direct bolt on mod?
just the top pad is... if you want the whole dash I'm sure some things would be different. Not hard to do at any rate but different still.
no no, I meant the top part also. That basically includes all the vents, and air bad opening right? That seems pretty sweet.
And the opposite is true as well...i have an 04 that i want the 02 dash in...It will bolt right up? just the top. I am pretty sure the rest of the dash is identical. so the 2002 dah pad (top Section only) will bolt right to my 2004 sunfire?????
All Sunfire top dash pad will bolt right up.
