first off,i have no clue what the dude tried to do to the car before i brought it,but my guess he didnt know to much
anyways,the driver side wont work
i thought it was the part connected to the seat, the clip
i went to the junk yard, poulled one from an 98 cav,i tested it on that car, worked really good
what i should of done was tested it in mines before installing it,which i didnt.i pulled my seat, tooked the clip off, install this one,put it all back togother, and stil nothing
but heres the werid thig,it will connect in the passenger side seat clip.and yes,the passenger side works
so what i might do,is just pull the whole seat belt from the cav.but the screw for the belt is an star tape .something i dont have, anyone have an clue what size it is
need an belt to stay legel.dont wanna be paying fines for it now.
thx
when its all or nothing, just remember to do not short shift
its T45 (at least the one in mine is..)
if ya can spray around the head/threaded area with a little bit of wd40 or something to losen dirt/rust ect ect.. theyre in there pretty good and ive broken a few of the torx bits trying to get them out..they use an impact gun to put em in..
T45 is probably the one, i was just guessing because i couldnt remember the exact size for them. you can buy a set with like 5 or 6 of the torx bits at autozone or wherever tools are sold id say.
