Wow it's going to be soooo hot when you are finished. That is my favorite kit for sure! What color do you plan on painting the car? Too bad we have to wait till next year to see the final product

All I have to say is I upset you would say TuRD, and also what the hell happened to your rear bumper? I have to say I liked it better the other way.

my rear bumper started out as a stock gray plastic bumper and i'm currently in the process of making it work with the TRD kit. it has a long way to go, a really long way. but thats what makes it fun
Well can I dare ask what you are using to bond with the old stock bumper? Cause the way it looks like it will not hold up for long. If you could find an old fiberglass bumper would maybe look a bit better. Also I might tell you that the newer LS rear looks great with the kit if you look up lenko's car. I just don't want to see that rear later down the road if you know what I mean. Sorry if you take this wrong I just want it to hold up for you.

I really like the new kit!
Its simple, and so nice. As you said the rear needs work. It will look hot with your rims on dropped and painted. What color are you doing?

i really appreciate your input. i'm new to the whole body work thing, so anytime anyone has constructive criticism or advice i'm definitely open to it. i completely understand where you're coming from on the whole "see that rear later down the road" thing. i made the additions to the bumper out of several layers of fiberglass and then i attached it to the bumper with 6 screws for each piece and then i used 4 layers of fiberglass matte to go from the stock bumper over top of the new pieces and then that wrapped around the inside. i also did 3 layers on the inside to hold the piece to the bumper. hopefully that made some sense. i would love to have an 03 ls sport rear like lenko, but there haven't been any in the junkyards around here and i'm not looking to spend $100+ to buy one off of someone. i had some spare time and thought i would try and make something custom. if it doesn't work, then oh well. live and learn. i'm not building a show car or anything, i'm just doing this because its fun. i sit in accounting classes all day long, i need something fun to do.
on another note, the primer only looks blotchy because the car is extremely dirty and people here at my townhouse have a bad habit of touching other peoples cars. i find handprints all over it. people feel the need to run their hands down the side of it.
and as for what color i'm gonna go with, i think i'm gonna go with the stock cayenne red, although i change my mind all the time. paint won't be coming any time soon, there are still a few more exterior things i would like to do.
thanks for the comments

Hey I don't know why you are sayin' that. My Cavfire was a 2.2 no power anything, but now it is a more then that. Doesn't matter what it starts out as. Engine Swap, Front end swap, Rear end swap, turbo setup, interior swap, and way more. So don't just say it's a base model. Hell they are lighter and faster then the fully loaded one if same gearing is in both.
