a few new engine compartment pictures

Even though I received my billet strut tower caps almost a month ago, I am just now posting pictures of them because I finally got my digital camera hooked up to my computer !

full engine compartment:

driver's side cap:

passenger side cap:

Over the winter I will be adding an RK Sport high flow polished cold air intake. I will also be painting the coolant and brake fluid reservoirs black and getting the engine cover powder coated the same color as the car.

Thanks everyone! I am so happy that I decided to get rid of the blue in the engine compartment and go with silver, billet and black. It looks so much cleaner and more subtle which is the look I want for the entire car.

@ Joe Schulte (JoeDM): Someone's paying attention . Thanks Joe !

@ 97cavy22: Nope, some 2002 Sunfires came with the Ecotec. I think it may have been something that was started more towards the end of the year though, because I got my car in November of 2002 and obviously it has an Ecotec .

Dunno where she got them, but check here!

Mid '02 it seems GM started running out of 2.4l's and wanted to get the Eco platform started up .

Glad you ditched the blue Carrie!

@ Corsica Dude: It's okay . I get that all the time because I don't flaunt the fact that I'm a girl . I want to be respected for being me and for what I do to my car, not for posting half naked pictures of myself. I'm here for the right reasons.

@ firstcar24: For the second time in this post... I'm a girl !

I got the caps from Mathieu "RedGTZ" Roy.

@ Joe Schulte (JoeDM): Some people ^ ! Geez !

@ Jay: Yes, the reservoirs will definitely be getting done over the winter . It looks great on your Cav. What I am looking forward to with mine is the caps and the Flex-Braid kit standing out more .

I really wish I could make it to the meet too . We'll definitely have to have one in the spring as soon as it gets warmed up.

@ Rodimus Prime: Nope. I want the clean look; no stickers, no logos, etc.

I'm missing you already . I really wish you were coming out this weekend . Let me know when you're thinking about coming out. Perhaps we'll have to road trip down to Peoria to see Jay. It sounds like he's lonely down there without High Rev .

@ Bomex03Cavalier (1CAV2NV): So cheesy ... I love it ! Thanks .

@ EXESIVE FIRE (Andy Brooks): Yeah, the bay looks like primer, but at least the underside of the hood is nice and shiny ! Thanks .

I should come up to St. Charles some time and hang out. Just let me know when and where. Are there any other Js besides yourself in St. Charles?

How many miles are on that machine. My moms 2003 has 40,000 mi. and looks just as clean. I wash it every 2 weeks.

@ Kenny Krijnik: It's a few miles away from turning over 50,000. I wipe down the entire engine compartment every time I wash the car which is why it's so clean .

I see . There are a couple guys around here, but I have pretty much lost all contact with them. I guess they just weren't into Js as much as I am. My car actually came from St. Charles. I got it at McGrath .
